As efforts to understand the impact of different conditions on foot health have advanced, international researchers have used the Foot Health Status Questionnaire (FHSQ) to enable direct comparisons across conditions.

The scores presented in the adjacent chart represent the combined and averaged FHSQ scale scores for all health domains, then ranked from greatest to least impact. Lower scores representing poorer health status. Where multiple studies have investigated the same condition, data has been interrogated, standardise and pooled using meta analysis techniques.

This comparative framework assists researchers in prioritising areas for future study and identifying gaps in the evidence base.
