FHSQ-iConnect LAUNCH DATE MID 2025
In 2024, work began on the FHSQ-iConnect project, aimed at developing a cloud-based solution for measuring foot health status in daily clinical practice. The project analysed foot health data from over 150 international clinical trials involving more than 10,000 patients. This analysis is yielding valuable new insights into global foot health trends. Most importantly, research has led to the development of four new clinical indices designed to help clinicians make informed decisions in daily practice.
The newly developed indices enhance the interpretation of health data in one-on-one clinical settings by offering distinct insights into patient progress:
Normative Reference Ranges: Allowing quick comparison of patients current health status with internationally established normative health values.
Flux Index: Highlights recent, clinically significant changes in health, aiding clinicians in identifying short-term variations that may require immediate attention.
Cumulative Change Index: Assesses long-term shifts in a patient's health status, capturing domain trends over extended periods of time.
Reliable Change Index (RCI): Provides a statistical threshold to determine whether observed changes in a patient's condition surpass what could be attributed to measurement error, ensuring confidence in the significance of these changes.
Together, these indices offer a comprehensive framework for clinicians to monitor and interpret patient health trajectories with greater precision.
The FHSQ-iConnect knowledgebase, a core component of the platform, contains a comprehensive collection of data on a range of distinct health conditions. Examples include foot health status of people with; diabetes, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, obesity, ankylosing spondylitis, multiple sclerosis, pregnancy and breast cancer survivors.
Launch date for clinician access to the FHSQ-iConnect platform is planned for mid 2025. To stay up-to-date on accessing the FHSQ-iConnect platform you can subscribe to our news letter on the contact page of this website.
